About the Author

After a twenty-year stint as a community radio talk-show host, Victoria Ann Davis is now dedicated to writing books that empower people so that they can create with confidence. Her freshman effort is 10 Cheap Tricks to Haunt Your Halloween.

This book offers step-by-step, illustrated instructions for ten, customizable Halloween props. It also explores design, lighting and the haunt experience.

Victoria got her start in haunting in 1989 by designing and holding haunts to entertain at-risk youth. Four years later she segued into charitable haunts and yard haunting. In order to improve these haunts she studied animatronics, stagecraft and psychology. Eager to share this knowledge, she wrote 10 Cheap Tricks to Haunt Your Halloween as the primer that she wishes had in 1989.

Victoria is a proud resident of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She owns her own bookkeeping business, Have Adding Machine Will Travel, and is a member of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking and podcasting—all potential topics for future books.
